Shanghai, China -- Maryann Brandon, Oscar-nominated editor, director and producer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, will keynote the China Post|Production Conference, produced in partnership with Future Media Concepts (FMC). In her session, held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in Shanghai, Maryann Brandon, will show scenes from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and discuss her thought process and her editorial decisions to achieve great results.
Maryann is a seasoned editor, director and producer for film, animation and television. Her recent editing work also includes Endless Love (2014), Star Trek Into the Darkness (2013), and the animated films How to Train Your Dragon (2010) and Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011).
Maryann is a longtime collaborator of J.J. Abrams and she has also edited Super 8 (2011), Star Trek (2009), Mission Impossible III (2006) and the TV series, Alias. She received HPA, SATURN and EDDY nominations for her work on Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness and How to Train Your Dragon, while her editing work on Alias brought her an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Single Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series.
